If you’re not a morning person, maybe all you need is a delicious breakfast to wake up your day. There’s no need to be grouchy or sloth-like when all the ingredients to a brighter morning are in the kitchen.
Start with oatmeal to increase the amount serotonin in the body. As we stated in “Got the Blues? Eat Oatmeal”, the fiber-rich grain helps increase the levels of the feel-good chemical throughout the body and won’t break down as quickly as refined sugars. Oats provide a steady flow of energy to the bloodstream and eliminate the sugar rush and crash effect.
Now that you have oats, pump them up with protein. Protein helps slow the digestion of carbohydrates and keeps you full longer. Reach for an incredible egg with the sunny side included. Egg yolks are packed with nutrients and have up to half of the egg’s protein. Learn more about the Incredible Egg.
