Next week is an exciting, fun-filled week for most of us. It’s the 4th of July, and we reflect and give thanks to the men and women who serve our country and allow us the freedoms we are privileged to have.
While reflecting on all we are thankful for, Coach’s Oats is truly grateful that we have opportunities to give back. Coach will tell you one of the best parts of owning a business is having the privilege to help others. His and Bonnie’s goal has been to build a company that is fortunate enough to give back. “We have been blessed with great friends and I knew one day I wanted to own my own business, so I could help others like we have been helped,” Coach says.
Next week brings even more excitement. One of the Sharks, Steven Espinoza, competes in a national meet, and we want everyone to help us root him on.
Steven represents the Sharks and Southern California at the USA Games in Seattle. Let’s all give him huge cheers!
Go Steven! Go Steven! Go, go, go Steven!
Steven began swimming for the Special Olympics when he was 8. Now 17, he has earned numerous gold medals and qualified the past 5 years for the Regional Summer Games held at Cal State Long Beach. Because of his gold medals in 2016, Steven qualified for the USA games.
His hard work and determination not only pay off in his athletics, but in his other hobbies as well. He is a proud member of the marching band, drum line and soccer team at his high school. Steven juggles and excels at all his endeavors while staying on the Principal’s Honor Roll.
So how about it? Let’s get loud and cheer on our OC Shark and all the athletes competing in the USA Games. Thank you to all the volunteers, coaches and parents for making these games possible.
