How do you perfect oatmeal? The Rogers’ would not settle to serve their friends and family mushy soft oatmeal, but the hot cereal had to be in their “old-fashioned Christmas Eve breakfast.” Thus, the inventors were born. Lynn and Bonnie went out and bought the tools necessary to experiment with different types of oatmeal.
They purchased a grinder and groats (whole-grain oats). After many attempts, Coach’s kitchen turned into a mini milling factory. Lynn and Bonnie would not give up or quit, and their persistence paid off. They discovered a whole new way of preparing oatmeal. Cracked n’ Toasted! Who knew that you should bake the oats?
With their new perfected oatmeal recipe the Rogers were ready for their Christmas Eve breakfast…
