You will never need to buy granola bars from the store again. They are easy to make and the combinations are endless (plus you control what goes in them). Whether you’re taking a hike, need quick snacks or breakfasts on the go, these granola bars will give you the re-charge you need. The idea is simple and we have experimented with a couple different combinations. What will you put into your granola bars?
Ingredients
- 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats (not quick oats)
- 1 cup Coach’s Oats®
- ½ cup dried cranberries
- ½ cup golden raisins
- 1 cup sliced almonds
- ½ cup Nestle® Dark Chocolate Chips
- 2 Tbsp. whole wheat flour
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ⅓ cup honey
- dash of salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300°.
- In a sauce-pan melt butter, brown sugar, honey and salt together.
- In a separate bowl combine oats, cranberries, raisins, almonds chocolate chips and flour. Add honey mixture to oats and mix well.
- In an 8 inch baking dish (lined with parchment paper or foil) spread granola mix. Bake for 30 minutes. Allow to cool and cut into bars.
