Valentine’s Day equals love, romance and most importantly CHOCOLATE! In honor of this Feb. 14th try this delicious chocolatey recipe and share it with the ones you love.
Coach’s “Oat Henry!” Bars
• ⅔ cup melted butter
• 1 cup packed brown sugar
• ½ cup Light Light Karo syrup
• 3 tsp. vanilla
• 4 cups Coach’s Oats
• 2 cups milk chocolate chips
• 1 ⅓ cup all natural creamy peanut butter
In a large bowl mix butter, sugar, syrup and vanilla. Add oatmeal and mix well. Pat mixture in a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes.
When oatmeal is done baking take out and cool. While oatmeal cools, melt chocolate chips and peanut butter together in a microwaveable safe container. (*Tip: Melt for 30 seconds at a time and mix after each interval until fully melted.)
Pour chocolate over the oatmeal and spread. Refrigerate until mixture hardens. Cut into bars and enjoy.
