
This is by far one of the all time favorite recipes here at Coach’s Oats! How can you not share this with your friends and family!?
Ingredients
5 cups, sliced and peeled apples
1/3 cup soft butter
2/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 cup Coach's Oats
Instructions
- Spread apples evenly in a 9" square pan. Blend remaining ingredients until crumbly. Sprinkle Coach's Oats topping over apples. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 - 35 minutes. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream.

This works with blueberries too! Also, I sometimes pour apple or pear juice over the top if the apples are old and dry. Drizzle with a yogurt glaze to make it look fancy. Lastly, you can put the peels in a Vitamix blender and then mix with the apple slices to make it a little healthier.

I just leave the apple skins on, they’re sufficiently tender when cooked and add more flavor, texture. color and, as you mentioned, nutrition.
